WILL OF WILLIAM L. BARNES

I, William L. Barnes, of the County of Owen and State of Indiana, being of sound mind and memory do hereby make and publish this my last Will and Testment, hereby revoking all other Wills hereto for made by me.

First. I will and direct that all my just debts, including funeral expensesbe paid, using the moneys and personal property on hand at my death for that purpose so far as needed; and if that should prove insufficient then I authorize my executor to sell a sufficient amount of the Real Estate with wihich to pay the remainder, and the costs of administration.

Second. I will and bequeath all my estate, real and personal to my beloved wife, Cynthia A. Barnes, to have and to hold so long as she shall live and remain my widow.

Third. I will and bequeath all the remainder of my estate both real and personal, after the marriage or death of my said wife Cynthia A. Barnes inequal share to my legal heirs.

Be it remembered, That on the 8th day of July 1897 O. L. Dickerson one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of William L. Barnes, late of said county, deceased, personally appeared before Park M. Martin, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Owen County, in the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, upon his oath, declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That on the 27th day of March 1895 he saw the said William L. Barnes sign his nameto said instrument in writing as and for his last Will and Testament; andthat this deponent, at the same time heard the said Will L. Barnes declare the said instrument in writing was, at the same time, at the request of the said William L. Barnes and with his consent attested and subscribed by saidO. L. Dickerson and J. M. Devore in the presence of said testator, and inthe presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said William L. Barns was, at the time of signing and subscribing of saidinstrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age, (that is more than twenty-one years of age,) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, andnot under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes and further deponent says not.

I, Park M. Martin, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Owen County, Indiana, do hereby testify that the within annexed Will and Testament of William L. Barnes has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the testimony of O. L. Dickerson, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will, and the testimony of the said O. L. Dickerson in proof thereof, has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 4, at Pages 414 and 415, of the Record of Wills of said County, at Spencer, this 8th day of July, 1897.
