FEMALE SCHOOL

Miss Jennie Batterton, would respectfully inform the citizens 
of Martinsville and vicinity, that she will open her school on 
Monday the 28th instant. The course of instruction will embrace 
all required in common schools; also the higher branches. Term, 
three months.
Spelling, reading, writing, first lessons in arithmetic, geography, 
history, &c.,   $3.00
Higher arithmetic, grammar, geography, U.S. History, mental 
arithmetic, &c.,   $4.50
Nat. philosophy, physiology, algebra, chemistry, astronomy, 
botany, universal history, &c.,    $6.00
