George married Malinda Isabella Hockman b. 1836 in Owen County, Indiana, in 1856.
LAST RECORD OF APPEARANCE
I found George and Malinda on the 1880 census Franklin Twp, Owen County, Indiana. I found Malinda on the 1900 census in Owen county with daughter Nancy Bush and her family. So it is assumed George died between 1880 and 1900. Some have said 1892, but have no proof or sources.
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES/PARTICULARS
All their children, including William and Gertrude Carter (grand children)(children of deceased Mary) sued Nancy Elizabeth for the sale of the property after Malinda's death, 1901. Malinda is buried at Hicks Cemetary, Near Freedom, Owen County Indiana. Also her parents Christopher and Nancy are buried there.
