OLD UNION CONDITIONS

In March of 2002 I traveled from Kansas to Gosport and visited the graves of my GGGG Grandparents. They are buried at the Old Union Cemetery. This cemetery is on private property and you do need to get permission. You have to climb up a hill which isn't too bad but you need to watch were you step since there's a lot of leaves and tree limbs covering the ground. There's also many broken headstones to watch out for. Most of the stones are broken and weathered but there are a few still intact. I wish I lived closer so I could clean it up. It is such a shame to see any cemetery like this.  I wish we could donate money just for the care of these forgotten cemeteries so they could get the attention they need.
