SAILOR IS BURIED AT AVON
Owen County News Journal; May 5, 1930

The body of W.L. Shipman, son of S.D. Shipman
of Martinsville, who was killed on the Missouri
at Pensacola, Florida by an explosion was buried
at Avon. The attendance at the funeral was large.
The coffin was draped with flags.
