Please remember, that unfortunately not everyone made a will. The difference between a will and the abstract is that the will is the whole written document. The abstract is where basic info has been drawn from the will without any unnecessary wording.

Name of the Deceased

Wife's Name and Detailed Bequest

Children's Names (this is helpful in finding the married surname of females)

Any Bequests made to the children

Date of the Will

Date when the Will was recorded

In What Book and on what Page the Will is recorded

Name of the Executor

Witnesses to the Will

Any additional persons that bequests were made to (sometimes grandchildren or nieces/nephews
