BIRTIE (HORN) LEITZMAN

Mrs. Charles H. Leitzman, age 74, died a the home of her son Charles at 239 South Marion Street this morning at 1:30 o'clock after an illness of only one week. Mrs. Leitzman, a native of Putnam County, was born May 11, 1876, the daughter of Nathan and Martha Reed Horn. She was married March 10, 1901 to Charles H. Leitzman, who survives. Mrs. Leitzman had lived in Morgan County for the past 17 years. Other survivors besides the husband and son Charles are two other sons, Nathan, Paragon, R. R. 1., and David, Martinsville, R. R.; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Alley and Mrs. Carl Stanger, Martisville, R. R.; and Mrs. Carl Fink, Gary; one sister, Mrs. Girtie Jackson, Coatesville and three brothers, Walter Horn, Coatesville; and Clarence and Luther Horn, both of Cloverdale. She also leaves 30 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Martinsville Mission Church. The Rev. George Young will have charge of the final rites. Friends may call at the residence after 7 o'clock this evening. Cure & Hensley Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

WRECK CLAIMS FOURTH

CHARLES HENRY LEITZMAN

Henry Lietzzman, age 78, fourth victim of an auto accident which occurred last Tuesday, died at Morgan County Memorial Hospital Saturday night at 11:40. He and his wife had a home here at 475 West Cunningham Street and another at Paragon. A native of Morgan County, he was born Aug. 12, 1880, the son of Harvey and Martha Donaldson Lietzman. He was married to Birtie Horn March 3, 1901, who died in March 1951. He later married Viola Moore who passed away in 1955. His third wife, the former Laura Shellburn, whom he married last May, died last Wednesday of injuries suffered in the same accident. Mr. Lietzman had spent most of his life in Morgan County and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ellis Alley of R. R. 1, Mrs. Carl Stanger of Martinsville, and Mrs. Jack Rosbery of Linton; three sons, David of Spencer, Nathan of R. R. 1, and Charles of Martinsville; 35 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Rice of Gosport, and Mrs. Homer Wilson of Crown Center; and a brother, Walter Lietzman of Madison. Funeral rites will be held in the Cure and Hensley Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be in the Stilesville Cemetery. Friends may call any time at the funeral home.
